After almost 20 years I have never visited the village of Onan Hasang. I returned to the village of Onan Hasang in October of 2017. I came here to attend my cousin's wedding. Apart from buildings and infrastructure, the nature of Onan Hasang has not changed much compared to 2000.

When I was a child, in the late 80s, I visited Onang Hasang village several times. I am very happy every time I visit Onan Hasang village because, in addition to its beautiful, green and beautiful views, this village also has cold weather and delicious traditional food.  Onan Hasang village has many traditional foods, like lapet, itak, Sasagun, Kembang Loyang,etc.
Onan Hasang Village also has an Object of natural hot spring bath not far from Onang Hasang Village, a Sipahalon hot spring bath surrounded by white limestone hills. The Sipoholon hot spring is located in the Parbubu area, Tarutung and takes about half an hour to one hour from Onan Hasang to Tautung.

In Onan Hasang village there is the largest Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) in the world, namely PLT Sarulla Operations Ltd. For travellers who want to experience the nature of the village of Onan Hasang and want to see the largest Geothermal Power Plant in the world can visit the village of Onan Hasang.

On Onan Hasang there are no special lodgings yet, but if you visit here, there are residents who rent their houses to stay overnight. The flight distance from Soekarno Hatta Airport, Jakarta to Kualu Namu Medan is around 1.5 hours. To visit Onan Hasang can go through Kuala Namu airport, with a travel time of approximately eight hours, or can go through Silangit airport with a travel time of approximately two hours to Onan Hasang.
